Perfect Makeup for Interview!

Going to an interview, can be stressful! First impression is important. How you represent yourself is how you will be representing the company.

Here is my look for an Interview!

1. First I moisturized my face then use I used prep + prime. Using prep + prime helps sets my makeup in place. It is also SPF 35.

2. Next using my MAC Mineralize Foundation with a foundation brush, I gently brush  downwards following my facial hair direction the foundation.

 3. Using MAC Fix + and Blender Sphere by Kit Cosmetic. MAC Fix + is to help you blend your makeup and fix any imperfection. The Blender sphere is similar to beauty blender but it's shaped like a sphere which is good in holding and having control when blending.

4. Using my MAC concealer, I then start to conceal my pigmentation. I love using a dual concealer brush because I start with a smaller brush and then using the bigger concealer brush tapping down the applied concealer ensuring it is set and concealed.

5. Next using +L'Oreal Paris UK black gel liner and angle eyeliner brush, I lined my eye's. If you want to learn my signature eyeliner look check out: http://myvinas.blogspot.com.au/2013/12/my-secrets-shhh-how-to-put-eyeliner-my.html

6. Using a peach blusher, on an angle brush as a my blush and then using my MAC Mineralize Powder to blend the blusher.

7. To finish of my look, I used  +RimmelLondonUS Kate 07 Lasting Finish Lipstick with a lip brush.

My 3 personal tips for winning an Interview:

  1.  You are selling yourself, be confident and imagine yourself as a product that you love and want everyone to have.
  2. Dress professionally! Wear suits, dresses, classic black heels, jewellery should be kept simple.
  3. Beauty tips: Keep a classic nails like French manicure nails or natural nails for the Interview. I personally, like to straighten my hair and pin back my hair leaving my face exposed.
Don't forget, this may sound so much work but the way you represent yourself is the way you will be representing the company!

Let me know your tips for preparing for an interview and your interview tips?

My secrets! Shhh... How to put eyeliner? My signature look!

Two things I can't go without are my concealer and my eyeliner. Over the years, I had to learn how to do my eye’s to make them stand out, last long (without smudging) and to be day and night appropriate. Let me show you two products I used and how to get my signature look!

Gel Liner
The first product which I LOVEEEEEE is L’Oreal Superliner 24 hrs Gel Liner.  L’Oreal gel liner is a long-lasting waterproof eyeliner, it has the best intense and bold colour finishing. I am able to wear it to work, gym or on a night out and the liner would not smudge as it has ultra-quick drying effect. No joke, it does last 24 hours if you don’t remove your makeup. This liner is perfect for big day like weddings and special events.

I know, Gel liners can look scary and may look hard to use but trust me it’s easy, just follow my steps and you will be a pro. L’Oreal Superliner does comes with a high-precision brush which always creates a smooth line but if you are a beginner I would suggest using an angled tip brush (shown in Picture 1). The brush I am using came from my professional brush kit by Nude by Nature (If you are looking to invest in good but reasonable price brushes check them out, it is worth every penny). By purchasing an angled tip brush, you will be able to create other eyeliner designs like cat eyes easily. Once you get used to using a brush to do your eyeliner you will find using L’Oreal professional easy to use.

Pencil Liner
The second eyeliner I use and love is Rimmel London Scandaleys waterproof kohl kajal. The pencil eyeliner is amazing, the colour is brilliant, and it is ultra smooth and creamy formula that it makes it easy to glide on. I love how it’s a pencil that is sweat, heat, humidity proof and it doesn’t smudge. Scandal is a dermatologist (skin specialist and ophthalmologist (is a specialist in medical and surgical eye problems) tested. It is safe for anyone with sensitive eyes. If you are not in to gel product try this product.

Till the next post, stay safe and love being yourself! If you have any secrets to share on this topic or question please feel free to leave a comment.
