Matted To Perfection!!

I love rocking matte makeup! I always get asked how I do it? So here is how I get this look!

Hope you like it!

First, I use +Modelsprefer Professional Energy Lift Primer. I love this primer on days I need a enregy lift. Use it like a moisturizer!

Then, using +Modelsprefer Professional Eye primer! 

Excuse my panda eyes! 

Use your finger and rub it in. Don't worry, it's not going to leave your eye lids white. 

Next, using my +maccosmetics Mineralize foundation, I love to pump 3 pumps on the back of my hands to warm the foundation. 

Then using my foundation brush, I apply my foundation following the direction of my facial hair.

Now here is my secret! Using +maccosmetics Fix + and +kitcosmetic blender sphere, spray MAC Fix+ 3 times  on the blender sphere.

Using a rocking motion (Don't rub) this helps blend your foundation and matte it.

Now do you see the difference? The brush leaves me looking very shiney and with the help of +maccosmetics Fix+ and Kit Cosmetic blender sphere leaves my face matted to perfection.

Using my "BFF" concealer by MAC Cosmetic, to hid the panda eye's. You can use the blender sphere to blend your concealer.

Now using my +maccosmetics PREP+PRIMER to set my makeup!!!

To finish the look I used +loreal paris Gel Liner and +maccosmetics Satin Amorous Lipstick.

Hot Topics: Concealing The Truth! Why & How do I conceal?

Let's get real! We all are hiding something... What am I hiding? I am hiding my panda eye's. lol

 

Concealer is one makeup product I can't leave without. We are all born perfect but sometimes our skin can look a bit pigmentation or scars from an accident can be a bit off putting to you. Being Indian with dark skin tone, I find I get pigmentation all around my eye's, neck, mouth and side of my cheeks. It gets even worst when I am feeling tired.

I also find that my eye shadow tends to stand out even more.

How do I conceal the truth?

First, choose a concealer that matches perfectly to your skin tone don't go bright or dark. Choose a tone that is your skin tone. I'm using MAC Concealer  NC44. It is a cream concealer. 

Use a dual concealer brush, I find using the smaller end of the concealer brush to put on the concealer.  It allows you to get precision. 

I like to use my foundation first before concealing. I find that I use less product.









To do your under eye, imagine a triangle (see picture for example) and apply accordingly. This helps not only conceal but it also highlights and hid puffiness. 

Once you are happy with the application use the bigger concealer brush and pat the application down.

Finally, to perfectly set the concealer, I use Mac Prep+Prime powder. This powder makes your cream concealer to set and last longer.

Perfect Makeup for Interview!

Going to an interview, can be stressful! First impression is important. How you represent yourself is how you will be representing the company.

Here is my look for an Interview!

1. First I moisturized my face then use I used prep + prime. Using prep + prime helps sets my makeup in place. It is also SPF 35. 

2. Next using my MAC Mineralize Foundation with a foundation brush, I gently brush  downwards following my facial hair direction the foundation.

 3. Using MAC Fix + and Blender Sphere by Kit Cosmetic. MAC Fix + is to help you blend your makeup and fix any imperfection. The Blender sphere is similar to beauty blender but it's shaped like a sphere which is good in holding and having control when blending.

4. Using my MAC concealer, I then start to conceal my pigmentation. I love using a dual concealer brush because I start with a smaller brush and then using the bigger concealer brush tapping down the applied concealer ensuring it is set and concealed.

6. Using a peach blusher, on an angle brush as a my blush and then using my MAC Mineralize Powder to blend the blusher.

 

7. To finish of my look, I used  +RimmelLondonUS Kate 07 Lasting Finish Lipstick with a lip brush. 






My 3 personal tips for winning an Interview:

1.  You are selling yourself, be confident and imagine yourself as a product that you love and want everyone to have.
2. Dress professionally! Wear suits, dresses, classic black heels, jewellery should be kept simple.
3. Beauty tips: Keep a classic nails like French manicure nails or natural nails for the Interview. I personally, like to straighten my hair and pin back my hair leaving my face exposed. 

Don't forget, this may sound so much work but the way you represent yourself is the way you will be representing the company!

Desire Tinted Lipglass by MAC Cosmetic

Desire is a lusty purpled berry (Cream). A lip gloss that is highly pigmented, shiny with a glass like finish. I love how you can use it on it's own. It contains Jojoba oil which helps soften and condition the lips. It is perfect for winter weather! 

Tinted lipglass has 35 shades for you to chose from, you definitely find one that you would like. I decided to go for desire as the color was a beauty purple berry, it goes well with my skin tone and it makes my lips look fuller. It's a must have product!

Red Lips, Pink Blusher, Now Let's Go Green!

Loving makeup doesn't mean you can’t be environmentally friendly!

One of the great additional benefits of purchasing MAC Cosmetics is that they have an amazing program called “Back to MAC Program”. 

This program was established for recycling their packaging while rewarding their customers. All you need to do is return six empty MAC primary containers (i.e. concealer, foundation and other containers) to any MAC Cosmetic store or counter. You will then be rewarded with a complimentary lipstick of your choice from their selection as a free product.

Check your countries MAC Cosmetic website to get the list of selections. You will be notified if any shades are out of stock. I love to recycle and be part of programs that offer the ability to do so.  And love to get rewarded for doing so. So next time, don’t throw away your empty MAC containers, instead save them up and then take them to your nearest store to be rewarded with a lipstick and be environment friendly.
