Your face is a beautiful canvas and before we start painting it we need to prepare the canvas. Primer is important if you want your makeup to last longer and is also a protective barrier for your skin.   I used my primer every time I do my makeup. I love how it helps finish my makeup looking flawless and it is set perfectly.

How do we use a primer?

First moisturise your face. Let your moisturiser set and dry for about 1 minute and then use a small amount of primer (lesser amount than your moisturiser) and put the product all over your face like your moisturizing. Primers can be used on any skin type (oily, dry, combinations, normal and sensitive skin).

 

Choosing the right primer for your skin:

Like all products there are heaps of brands out there for you to choose. You can either purchase the same brand as your foundation  but you don’t have to. You need to find something that suits your skin, fragrance weather and even how you feel when you put it on your face. I personally don’t like a sticky or very heavy product.  I personally use two different products. My first go to product is MAC Prep + Prime Beauty Balm with SPF 35 (Sunscreen or SPF protections are vital to all skin tones from the Light to Dark skin tone). Second product is Collection by Bloom this is because MAC primer can be a bit heavy when used on humid days. Days when I need a light and simple look I go for with Collection by Bloom product; it gives me a light, shiny finish.

You should always choose products that you like not what other’s like. Always do your research and try as many brands as you like before making any decisions.
