Lifestyle: Tips For Not Gaining Weight During Summer & Winter!

Right! This year I have made a winter resolution that I am not going to be gaining weight for Winter. I find that during winter, I would eat to keep me warm and gain a lot of weight and then one month before summer would try and lose it. I found that it was not a healthy way and I would not lose it all. So this year, I thought lets make it a lifestyle of healthy living both inside and outside.

For the past few months I have lost 10kg and is maintaining this weight! Here are simple tips that I have learned. If you are having few "health" problems don't worry, trust me this will work.

Tip 1: I changed the size of my plate! I went from eating my meals from a dinner plate to an entree/side plate. I soon released that I was getting full. I managed to trick my stomach.

Tip 2: Hydrate! Hydrate! Hydrate! I am not a water person but I found that my skin drying up! Like a plant I needed water. My doctor gave me a good idea. At work have a big glass of water near you at all times. Every time you receive an email and you read it and then take few sips of water before answering the email by the end of the day you would be drinking at least 2-3 glasses a day! I love this idea not only I am thinking about the right response but I am also hydrating my body.

Tip 3: Becoming a Yoga & Gym Bunny! I got myself a gym buddy! It helps when days you don't want to move someone is telling you "Lets GO!" I also found a yoga guru who teaches the right traditional way of practicing yoga! Trust me, it makes a lot of different learning the traditional way from the commercial way! At my yoga class, the room is dark just with two lamp shades switched on and the room smells so aromatic with eucalyptus oils to relax you, you are not allowed to wear any shoes and not only that you are not distracted with your surrounding on how flexible you are.

So two thing: get a gym buddy and find yourself the traditional yoga guru

Tip 4: Opps! Just realized I have been doing this wrong! I was reading http://www.getfitwithsonia.com that some of the exercise moves I have been doing wrong! Getting it right does help you get the right results.

Here is something to help you! Definitely check Sonia's website out!

Tip 5: Holy Cravings!!! Yes, we all have craving. Mine is Choooooocolate!!!  Just typing this is making me crave for it! I started  to swap chocolate with either grapes or oranges. I found the sweet cravings would be satisfied.

I hope this four tips helped you! Definitely, let me know what you think or more share with me your tips for staying fabulous both inside and outside.

#Trend Alert: Coconut Oil To The Rescue!!

My 6 Beauty Uses For Coconut Oil!!!

Known as “Tree of Life”

In many countries coconut is known as “Tree of Life”.  The coconut provides a nutritious source of meat, juice, milk and oil. I am loving the new trend that is using coconut oil to my beauty regime. Even though it’s a “new” trend, it has been around for generations.

1.) Makeup Remover:
I recently found out that another option to remove my makeup is to use coconut oil. Place a small amount on a cotton pad and gently rub it in circles around your eyes, after that rise it off with warm water. You eye’s will feel moisturized.

 2.) Hair Mask:
Use 2-3 tables spoons of coconut oil. I like to heat it up (DON’T USE IT STRAIGHTAWAY! Make sure you leave it for few minutes) message gently, focusing on the ends (if you have curly hair, avoid the roots, it tends to leave your hair looking greasy). You can leave it in for 30 minutes or even sleep with it overnight- just make sure to use an unwanted pillow case. BEWARE it does stain the sheet!

3.) Coconut Oil To The Frizzy Rescue:
To keep wild hair controlled, warm up a bit of coconut oil between your hands and run your fingers through your hair. The oil will help smooth the strands without looking greasy.

4.) Super Dry Skin:
Coconut Oil has moisturizing powers, it absorbs to the skin faster than many lotion, and a small amount goes a long way. Here is a recipe you can use to make your own home made lotion using coconut oil http://wellnessmama.com/3765/luxurious-homemade-lotion-recipe/ .

  5.) Silky Lips:
Treat your lips by dabbing a little coconut oil on your lips using your fingers. It’s a good conditioner for your lips! Perfect for both summer and winter!

6.)   Cuticle Diva
If you have stubborn unwanted cuticles, rub a small amount of coconut oil on your cuticles. It will soften the cuticles allowing you to push it back.

How do you use Coconut oil? Feel free to share with us. On my next post, I will be sharing a coconut oil body scrub recipe which I love!

Stay Fabulous!
