Make your eye the a statement piece: How To Put Fake Eyelashes?

We girls and guys are blessed with fluttering eyelashes. Sometimes I like to make my eyes stand out even more and I like to use fake lashes. I did struggle at first to put them on but practice made it perfect!

There are many kinds of eye lashes. Find one that you like. You can find them in any beauty shops, pharmacy and even $2 shop. I got these from a Japanese shop. I like the long and close lashes that give a thick lashes look. Price of lashes can retail from AUD$2-$30

I like using Duo eyelash adhesive, waterproof and it is clear-white. When I purchased this product they didn't have Striplash Dark. Striplash Dark is perfect for matching on your eyeliner not leaving visible glue. But not to worry, if you can only find Duo clear-white I have a trick to clean left over glue.

Note: Majority fake eye lashes do come with glue and it does work. I choose Duo as I find it has been tested and doesn't react to my eye. Just make sure you are confident  in the brand as you don't want it to react to your beautiful eyes.

Before putting on the glue gently bend the lashes making it flexible.

Start from the beginning of the lash line and slow drag the glue to the end f the lash. Don't worry, if you have made a mistake by putting excess amount just use a cotton bud. Trust me cotton bud tips will be your saving grace when putting fake lashes.

Then gently blow on the lashes. You don't have to do it but I do when I'm in a rush. Just leave it a side if you don't want to blow on the lashes. To check if the glue is ready to be used, when you touch the glue it should feel tacky.

Gently bend the lashes framing your natural lashes, place the lashes close to your lash line. Hold in place for 10 seconds.

Once it feels like it has set, I like to use a cotton bud to push in the lashes making sure it is properly set.

Also use the same cotton bud to clean any excess glue that might have gotten on your eyelids.

Sometimes you might find your fake lashes start to pop out, just use your trusty cotton bud, add a small amount of glue and slowly fix the area. Don't forget leave for few seconds before pushing back the lashes into place.

I finished off this look with a black eyeliner making my eyes standout and look bigger.

Don't forget you can keep using your fake lashes make sure you remove old glue. I use my tweezers to gently remove old glue.

Feel free to leave a comment below and tell me how you put on your eyelashes.

Stay fabulous beautiful people!!!
